Follow the building progress of my Mountfield dolls house from the Dolls House Emporium.

This is my second dolls house; the first one was built from a cheap kit bought from Ebay and completed about eight years ago. Although my friends enjoyed poking their noses in through the windows to see what was inside, I just had a feeling I could do an awful lot better.

This is house number two; my attempt at improving upon house number one. I hope you enjoy it.

Making A Grand Entrance (pt 2)

Well so much for waiting until the weekend!  Last night I just thought I'd do a couple of odd two minute jobs on the dolls house and three hours later, I'd stained the stairs and panelled wall!
Here's the before photo...

and here's the mid way photo (panelling done and stained, but wallpaper, flooring, picture rails and skirting still to be done)

Hopefully, my wallpaper and carpets should arrive today (and the tiny hinges for the cupboard under the stairs door) and I can complete the hall and landing this weekend.

Great! I always think it is such a shame to waste the space under the stairs. You've done a lovely job of the panelling and staining.
